1934 CNW - Chicago & North Western Railroad - Weltausstellung Broschüre & Karte

22,87 €

The Chicago & North Western Railroad (CNW) was a mid-west US carrier, with routes extending from Chicago west to Nebraska and South Dakota. In 1934-1935, Chicago hosted a World's Fair, termed "A Century of Progress". The theme of the fair was technological innovation. The fair's motto was "Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Adapts"; its architectural symbol was the Sky Ride, a transporter bridge perpendicular to the shore on which one could ride from one side of the fair to the other. Most major railroads had exhibits at the Fair, to include the CNW. For auction is a CNW brochure showing a map of the Fair and promoting its exhibit.
