'Basin Street Revue' (1955) is a collection of musical performances, recorded at Harlem's Apollo Theatre, from some of the stars of 1950s R&B, including Nat 'King' Cole, Martha Davis and Willie Bryant. 'Forbidden Music' (1936) is about the mythical kingdom of Lucco, where music has been outlawed by the Princess Regent (Diana Napier), until the brooding Mario (Richard Tauber) manages to change her mind.
