For over eight hours Robert F. Kennedy's funeral train travelled down the eastern seaboard from New York to Washington on June 8, 1968. Reminiscences of this journey which Truman Capote called "the ride of the century" are told in the words of those who were there. With over 347 interviews, these provide the framework of the book including the other journey that was Robert Kennedy's life story as recalled by his associates. Dust jacket is in acceptable condition with tears, nicks and scuffs to edges as per photos. Burgundy boards with gilt titles to spine are in good condition with a small scuff to front and bumps to corners. Evidence of page corners having been bent but overall clean and unmarked.
