Beautiful set of 15 volumes of Balzac’s Comedie Humaine novels (all English translations). 12 volumes published by Caxton, London, and 3 limited-edition volumes by JM Dent. All are illustrated and in overall good condition. They are all the same size and format so display very well together. The 3 limited-edition JM Dent volumes have paper titles on the spine which are a little tatty, but the interior of the volumes are clean and fresh. Quality paper and printing. Several of the Caxton volumes have a loose title page (see photos), otherwise they are in very good clean condition for 130-year-old books. This is a lovely set, any Balzac enthusiast will be delighted to own it. Works out at only £10 per volume!!!
