…… Signed in the lower right-hand corner, this late 19th-century Oil Painting on stretched canvas is by the Fall River, Massachusetts artist Bryant Chapin (1859-1927). Depicting an impressionist coastal seascape, with waves crashing up onto the rocky shore, this antique Oil Painting has been properly re-stretched by a past owner on a new stretcher, however, there are no in-painted restorations. The surface could benefit from a cleaning, and there are a couple of craquelure lines to the thick textured paint in the water.
