…… Signed on the base, Ruffony, this early 20th Century Bronze was made by the Swiss Sculptor Oscar Ruffony (1874-1946). The 9" tall bronze Sculpture in this auction depicts a peasant woman who is coming in from the fields with a sheaf of wheat under her arm and a sickle or reaping hook tool in her hand. She is standing on an approximately 4 1/2" wide by 3 1/4" base and is in very good original condition. It still retains a nice old dark patina, and we have listed this authentic Oscar Ruffony Bronze Sculpture without any reserve.
