Cucalorus Tribute - Vol 1 DVD - Short Films Film Festival 1994 - 2004 Wilmington - RARE! The official Cucalorus Tribute is a collection of shorts taken from the first decade of the festival. The Cucalorus Film Festival began in 1994 and has since earned an international reputation for screening fiercely independent and controversial films. Hosted over four days in early November, the festival presents screenings in venues throughout historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, allowing festival attendees from across the country and around the world to walk from venue to venue, enjoying the city‘s riverfront and hip downtown scene. The festival was named one of the Top Twenty Events in the Southeast, by the Southeast Tourism Society.
