8vo. Pp: 510. First English edition and first printing of Pasternak’s novel that won him the noble prize in literature. Blue, yellow, red and black dust jacket designed by John Woodcock. Publisher’s original red cloth boards, lettered gilt to the spine. There is a previous owner’s inscription and bookplate to front board, otherwise clean internally. Binding is slightly loose, mark to bottom edge, some minor bumping to spine, else very good condition. Dust jacket has some age-related fading and very slight wear/rubbing with a single mark to the rear, otherwise in very good condition. Dust jacket is wrapped in archival mylar for protection.
