A very interesting book. It is the story of how the proud and prosperous town of Poole of the 18th and early 19th centuries, one of the “Metropolis of Newfoundland” was reduced to bankruptcy. It is fully documented and profusely illustrated. It clarifies and elucidates much of Poole’s history which to date has existed only in the folklore of the town. The book is in very good clean and tidy condition throughout its 216 tightly bound and supple pages, it has some minimal foxing to the pages when closed which I have shown in one of the photos. The book comes complete with its original dust jacket and measures 18.5cm across by 24cm down. Please see all photos. Thank you.
