Cover shows slightly worn. -- This year is the centenary of the birth of the Scottish architect and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, whose international reputation is rapidly growing. This Exhibition, while celebrating Mackintosh's centenary, is also the largest and probably the most important Exhibition devoted to his work. It should help, not only to spread the knowledge of his art, but to evaluate it, for the Exhibition offers a comprehensive survey of the architect's career. -- The exacting and formidable task of compiling the Exhibition has been undertaken by Professor Andrew McLaren Young of the Department of Fine Art of Glasgow University. We are most grateful to him for his work in selecting the items for the Exhibition- which include anything from a pepper pot to the interior of a tearoom.
