Following Japan's surrender at the close of the Second World War, Lieutenant Robert Holder the troup leader of Charlie Troop in 382 (Totnes) Battery was posted to Ipoh, Malaya. Working closely with the local people his regiment helped to restore order and a sense of normalcy to the region often using unusual means. An intriguing and interesting account of the important role the British Military Administration gave its soldiers during the crucial post-war period. Dust jacket is in very good condition with two stickers to front and some light wear. Blue boards with silver titles are in good condition with a bump to front bottom edge as per photo.
