Emma by Jane Austen. Illustrated by Hugh Thomson. With an introduction by Austin Dobson. Printed in 1896 by R & R Clark, Limited, Edinburgh. Original embossed red cloth. Gilt title to front cover and spine. Spine somewhat faded but in good order. Corners slightly bumped. All pages fully intact. Two names have been handwritten inside the front cover as shown in photos. Some minor damage to a few pages as seen in photos. Rough cut pages. Some pages at the rear of the book in the catalogue and index sections remain partly uncut. This is a very good copy considering its age.
