Rare and beautiful first edition of Original Poems And Translations by James Beattie, printed by A Millar in London in 1760. The cover is of well worn cardboard, split at the spine, but still attached. The early pages are extremely browned but, as the picture shows, the main body of the text is clean, with only the occasional brown spot. The early pages feel slightly brittle but the vast majority turn smoothly and are robust and readable. A treasure. Make me an offer and bag a bargain!
