Text in Japanese and English. - Vertical O-Oban Urushie - (Important Cultural Property) Toyonobu is noted for prints of standing women, the faces of whom are depicted with long, narrow eyes, round cheeks, and full chins, while the soft, rounded bodies convey a sensuous impression. The tent cloth below which one may glimpse a picnic stand, hinting that wine is prepared for a lover's visit, adds to the intimate sensuality of this print, which is one of Toyonobu's masterpieces. The poem reads, "On meeting again, there will be sorrows How fleeting are the cherry blossoms.".
