The 8-pin plug will simply push fit into the 8-pin socket of any Hornby 8-pin, DCC Ready loco (or tender), and other makes as well. This is a 4-function NMRA compliant decoder. If you want to use it with a different DCC Ready socket then you will need to buy an adapter.
