This is the 1847 edition which includes prints of various admirals, tables indicating ship specifications, gun size etc. The 1847 has additions and notes including notes on the Burmese War and the Battle of Navarino by Captain Chamier R.N. The covers are the original green grey with blind decoration to front and back covers illustrating a marine sextant and the fouled anchor. Very small amount of foxing but mostly on the tissue paper that protects the portraits of the admirals. The spines as can be seen in the photos have suffered wear, but are all in tact. The front and back covers all in fair condition. Volume VI the pages are slightly loose in their binding. The foldout charts are in good condition.
