Mild-mannered Joe Scheffer (Tim Allen) is a single father and feels he is being overlooked at work. When he brings his daughter Natalie to his office on a Take Your Kid to Work Day, he is humiliated in front of her by the office bully McKinney (Patrick Warburton). Determined to change his ways, Joe challenges McKinney to a rematch, hires an out-of-work action movie-star (James Belushi) to teach him martial arts and gets a stylist to give him a make-over. All this not only gives him more confidence, he gets promoted, his ex-wife (Kelly Lynch) begins to take an interest again and a work-colleague gets the hots for him. But his daughter loved the old non-confrontational dad. Will he go back to his old ways?
