Uintacyon is an extinct genus of Miacidae. There are at least two species in the genus; Uintacyon rudis and Uintacyon gingerichi, the latter being recently discovered. The miacids (Miacidae) were primitive carnivores which lived during the Paleocene and Eocene Epoch about 65 33 million years ago.
