His own output, which is still gaining popularity, is a fusion of soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, classical and (hip-hop) beats and these are precisely the ingredients of this carefully brewed mix. Classics from Bill Evans and Nina Simone in the same blender as progressive electronics from Shlohmo and Lapalux. Beautiful neo-classical work by Dustin O'Halloran hand in hand with the new jazz heroes of Badbadnotgood. Jewel after jewel on this tasteful amalgam of styles.
