Even now many of these structures may no longer exist or have been closed and, perhaps in some cases, have been converted to other uses. This work may also be considered as a pictorial reference on the subject to some limited degree based mainly on the smaller and medium-sized station buildings. More than 300 photographs are presented in addition to some color views, most of which existed at the time of researching for this work.
