Alterations were relatively small, the size and design of the aircraft survived, but because of the larger mid-section of the new engine to the fuselage sides lengthen second, broken, trim. This was done in order to avoid under-stop mass production of the aircraft. In the future, the fuselage was redesigned. The modified aircraft, received the stamp of La-5, adopted for mass-production.
