A vintage original (NOT a copy or reprint) Russian Soviet period propaganda poster, ink on paper. A wonderful large Perestroika era poster of Vladimir Lenin featuring an iconic image of Lenin as he unveils a monument to Cossack Stenka Razin in Moscow on May Day, 1919. ''Peace is the most important thing for us''. The poster commemorates the Russian revolution of 1917 and emphasizes the importance, as well as the cost, of peace. Artist: E. Tsvik Publisher: Plakat, Moscow Date: 1987 The poster measures approximately 38 x 26 1/4 inches. The poster has a clean, very bright image and general overall wear. There are tears to the upper right edges, and lower left edges. General creasing and wear around the edges. Pin holes to the corners. The poster is rolled.
