In the autumn of 1938, it temporarily disappeared by joining the National Unity Party, after 1945 it was revived and in the 1946 elections it won 15.64% of the votes. The winner of the election was the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, followed by the Czechoslovak National Socialist Party, the Czechoslovak People's Party, the Democratic Party, the Czechoslovak Social Democracy and three smaller Slovak parties.
