MIECZYSLAW SALECKI (LIPNO AUGUST 29, 1893 – WARSAW JULY 19, 1982). He was recognized as one of the finest Polish tenors of his generation, known for both his lyrical and heroic roles. His repertoire included Jontek in Halka, Lenski in Eugene Onegin, Stephan in Moniuszko’s Ghost Castle, Gounod’s Faust, Duke in Rigoletto, Cavaradossi in Tosca, and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi.
