The second album "opa*q" was one of Rei Harakami's early works. It was released in 1999, one year after his sensational debut "unrest," and re-released in 2005 as a special edition with two bonus tracks. This album, which became a masterpiece of the Japanese techno scene, has been out of print for a long time, and its reissue has been long awaited. "I had originally planned to release a single with two remixes, but I thought since it's a CD, I wanted to put more songs on it, so it kind of turned out to be like an album. In this album, I'm doing what I like to do while being a bit nervous.
