Rosamond: A Sequel to Early Lessons by Maria Edgeworth Publisher: R. Hunter, 1821, first edition. Two small volumes in quarter green leather with paper-covered boards, and paper spine labels, boards worn, spines chipped and bumped, title labels chipped (see photos). Internally some occasional light marks, but mainly clean and bright and tight in their bindings. Aimed at the juvenile market, these stories take Rosamond from the age of ten to the age of thirteen, and were intended to be read by those of a similar age (the 'young adults' of their time?) Two volumes, 13.5cm, almost 5.5 inches, tall, 252, 272 pages, plus two page 'Correct List of Mr. and Miss Edgeworth's Works'.
