'Blues For Salvador' was released in 1989 and it was dedicated to his wife Deborah Santana. The record was released as a solo project which allowed Carlos Santana to make a recording away from the restrictions of the 'Santana Band', and bring in a bunch of other musicians to explore his unique way of playing.
