GST and postage Production Information A BA-4 backplane is for use with the PC-1 (power & processor module) in the far left slot and any I/O or communication modules in the other 3 3 slots. A BA-40 backplane is similar to the BA-4 backplane except the J5 (PC-1 lower connector) and SL-9 (PC-1 power) connectors have been removed to allow various modules to be installed in the leftmost slot. A BA-40 can be used with a PS-xx power supply and a CP-xx processor module or can be linked to any other backplane when more slots are required.
