It forms a very good comprehensive guide for beginners to Shotokan Karate from 9th - 7th Kyu (White to Green belt) or their first 9 months of training in Shotokan Karate. Although this DVD features the KUGB curriculum techniques, they're fairly standard across all Shotokan Karate clubs and I knew of several clubs that gave these DVDs to their students to help them through the various grades.
