…… Sabra Field (1935 - ) is a 20th-century Woodblock Printer who was born in Oklahoma but grew up in New York. We have had several examples of Sabra Field Woodblocks over the years; however, what we are listing tonight is actually one of her hand-carved printing blocks. Measuring 16 ¼” by 27 ¾”, this double-sided, hand-carved wood printing block has been hand-painted and signed by the artist. The front side depicts a mountain landscape with buildings in the foreground, and on the reverse side is a country landscape with grazing cows in the distance. There is some minor edge and corner wear, as well as some paint loss and surface rubs to the backside of this Sabra Field hand-painted and carved woodblock printing plate.
