Publisher’s blue cloth with gilt lettering to front board and spine, top edge gilt. Text by Ernest G. Halton followed by 65 wonderful full-page illustrations, all present. A generally very good example of this uncommon volume, which is often found rather battered. The blue cloth here quite clean, some stains and bumps towards corners and edges, the spine a touch faded and bumped at tips. Binding remains tight despite some hinges just starting to slightly show in one or two places. Internally usually very clean, some offsetting and light scattered foxing to prelims, but otherwise clean throughout, the plates generally very fine. An attractive volume.
