Major Peter Kemsley Hallas was born at Streatham, London on 16/7/1918 and pre war worked at Lloyds of London between1937-39. He enlisted into the Territorial Army as a trooper with the Westminster Dragoons on 14/3/1939 and was sent for Officer training shortly thereafter.
