Der Bayeux Wandteppich, Pinguin gebunden, 1943 Vintage
This vintage Penguin guide is not in perfect condition, bearing some usage defects and signs of its age and previous handling. But it is still legible and the illustrations are clear. The main imperfection is the spine which has significant tears to the outer edge, though the pages all remain bound together. The cover is also blemished. It is dated 1943 and described as being from The King Penguin Books series. It is compiled by Eric Maclagan, then director and secretary of the Victoria and Albert Museum. It offers an informative guide to the Bayeux Tapestry, comprising 30 pages of text and 48 pages of illustrations. The images are in a mix of colour, and black and white. The book measures approx 7x5 inches in size.
