Published by Cambridge at The University Press in 1953. 980 pages across both volumes with 162 plates containing 418 photos and 179 figures in the text. Hardback with green cloth boards, nicely decorated with gilt illustrations and titles. In good overall condition. Both volumes are slightly faded along the spine and across the front top edge. Some foxing across the page edges but save the odd small mark, the books are internally clean, tidy and tightly bound throughout.
