The Center for Hermeneutical Studies in Hellenistic and Modern Culture. Protocol
From the library of Prof. Wolfgang Haase, long-time editor of the ANRW and the International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - With dedication by the editor. - Author E. Badian's name handwritten on cover, otherwise clean. - From the text: Let me first make it clear that what I am going to say will not in principle be theologically oriented. I shall not be much concerned--except in so far as this is necessary for following the historical events--with such important questions as what Greeks thought and felt about their gods, or what it meant to them (or to Alexander) to treat a ruler as a god. My main concern will be a set of strictly historical problems, all of them frequently discussed and all of them (alas) incapable of really satisfactory solution, through want of evidence.
