COURTNEY LEWIS, C. T. The Picture Printer of the Nineteenth Century, George Baxter 1804-1867. London: Sampson Low, Marston and Company. 1911. Thick 8vo. Pictorial boards, gilt top edge, other edges untrimmed. With superb colour plates behind tissue including the frontispiece, plus numerous black and white plates. A very good copy, the boards clean but the corners gently bumped, the spine head and tail rubbed. The binding tight and square though with one or two cracks appearing, the front board hinge loosened but all holding well together. Ink ownership inscription to the front endpaper, some offsetting here, and some very mild spots to the text, but usually clean throughout. A nice copy.
