It is notoriously difficult to date Potter Books. The copyright was registered in 1909 to Frederick Warne & Co but the front page has the addition of "Ltd" so the copy was printed after 1919 when it became compulsory to identify a company as being Limited. It is also before 1943 when Warne introduced printing details. The dot in the O and the intentionally blank pages mean that it must have been 1920/1930's and there was a re-print in 1925. The polythene cover has kept the book in good condition although there is some looseness of pages. Also noted small inscription of first owner.
