A collection of her poems many crammed with literary allusions, recurring symbols and very much in a late romantic style. The title piece is a contrast to her other work and is a one-act verse drama which is set in pre-Conquest Quebec, concerns a carver who murders his wife's lover in order to have a model for the proper expression of grief for his wooden pieta. Green boards with dark blue spine and paper titles are lightly bumped and scuffed as per photos. Internal pages are clean and unmarked.
