Hardback book in dustwrapper "They Seek a Country" by Francis Brett Young, published by Heinemann in 1941. Some creasing and some small tears to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, also some discolouration to spine of same. Minor bumping to spine ends and corners of blue boards but otherwise a good clean tight copy, with gilt titles on spine still bright, of this hard-cover book. Originally published in August 1937, this is a slightly later "Severn Edition" printing from August 1941. The story, set in the 1830s, deals with a young man, sentenced to transportation for poaching, who escapes in South Africa and joins a Boer family setting off on the Great Trek. 641pp.
