Half leather binding with marbled boards and black spine label. Portrait frontispiece of Smollett by Freeman; four illustration plates by George Cruikshank (not listed in Cohn, although Cohn 702, The Expedition of Humphrey Clinker, published 1831 by Cochrane and Pickersgill as part of Roscoe's Novelist's Library, has the four same Cruikshank etchings and portrait by Freeman). ; viii, 338 pages.
