Tom Bankes found a fascination with angling when five years old, after catching a stickleback from a local well in 1973. In this, the first of his angling autobiographies, he details his fishing, from the early days on Toadsmoor Lake in the Stroud Valley and leading onto the Mecca of Savay Lake, which he now runs.
