He became known immediately for his regionally distinctive work. Predock's architecture has a strong connection to place and is often realized with bold, almost primal, forms. His recently completed works include the Arizona Science Center, the Tampa Museum of Science and Industry, and the Stanford University Center for Integrated Systems. The Turtle Creek House, winner of numerous awards and recognized by the American Institute of Architects and Architectural Record, was completed in 1993. Situated outside Dallas, near the Turtle Creek watershed, the house appears as if it has emerged out of the earth.
