Victor Zarou dit Zarou est né en 1930 près de Saint-Tropez. Il a d'abord étudié avec son père, Tony Cardella, artiste impressionniste. Dès son plus jeune âge, Zarou a peint avec passion, exposant et vendant ses œuvres pour la première fois à l'âge de douze ans.
